Hi Team,
Please be aware that consents using the SmartLift process do not need to have a foundation inspection.
Essentially, the SmartLift system is for work or temporary work to allow the dwelling/building to be jacked up and levelled.
Brian L. Spence, (Engineer, B.E. (Hons), B.Sc., M.I.P.E.N.Z) has agreed to provide a PS4 for the work he is involved with, therefore, we do not add any value by undertaking inspections.
If there are any questions as to whether an inspection is required, please do not hesitate to contact me.
For future consents regarding SmartLift, the consents team will not be adding the requirement for a foundation inspection by Council. However, if the consent has additional types of inspections allocated to it those inspections need to be requested.
